Bikes 4 Tykes benefitting DM at FSU
Dance Marathon at FSU's Bikes 4 Tykes is an 82-mile bike ride that is intended to raise money and awareness for the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals at the Shands Hospital for Children and the FSU College of Medicine Pediatric Outreach Program. The bike ride takes place on one of the most scenic bike routes in the area, the St. Marks Trail. The 82-mile bike ride will be completed in a day, with pit stops every 10-15 miles on the route. At these pit stops, participants will not only have essential biking needs, such as carbohydrates and water, but will also have the opportunity to perform a short mini-line dance, hear miracle stories from some of our ambassador families, and interact with each other. If you wish to participate, the theme is "Eighties for the Babies!" so make sure you show up in your craziest eighties outfit, and be prepared to rock out to some ballads from the eighties! Register online at Bikes4Tykes.kintera.org. Please contact Austin Fischer at 904-710-0954 or fsudmcommunityevents@gmail.com for more information.

Dance Marathon at FSU
Dance Marathon at FSU is the university's largest student-run philanthropy. February 17 through February 19, over 1000 student volunteers (called "dancers") will stand for 40 hours, divided into two 20 hour shifts. Money is raised for Children's Miracle Network at Shands Children's Hospital and The FSU College of Medicine's pediatric outreach programs. 100% of the proceeds directly benefit the children of Tallahassee and surrounding areas. In sixteen years, our organization has raised over $3.3 millions through our annual Dance Marathon event. Without the support of campus organizations and student volunteers, Dance Marathon would not be where it is today. Now in our 17th year, we have the opportunity to grow to new heights. We invite you to become a part of our team as we "Give a Weekend, Save a Life," and help the kids of our community. Visit http://dm.fsu.edu.
